Going Wireless:

Really considering a wireless unit. Looking at Nady and a few others. Any experiences to share????

Check on the licensing status. Frequencies worldwide are getting shuffled because of the "digial dividend". The manufacturer should/may be able to provide some sort of guarantee that their system is future-proof. Wireless mics are deep in the heart of the problem, and I would guess that guitar systems use the same technology.

I'm not sure of what you are saying.
If your transmitter and receiver work on a certain frequency, end of story ... unless your receiver has the same frequency as a new radio station or some such more recently set up.
Is that the issue or did I miss it completely?

Yes, good point, I was reading about that...I'm comfortable with my cables, but the stage performance pretty much demands going wireless...

The frequency bands used by these systems are under review, and there is currently no guarantee that one bought today will still be legal a couple of years from now. Actual interference with an existing radio service is just the worst case scenario.

What are you doing on stage that demands a wireless if I can ask? You doing cartwheels and round the back guitar flips?

Mostly just for freedom from the cords.

Our bassist has always been wireless and I like how he can move around without any concerns for the cables. Our band is unique in that each member is a post-apocalyptic-esque character with their identity partially concealed, so we are rehearsing a more interesting stage show, no cartwheels, but more than just glued in place...

I do sometimes throw the guitar around my back by pushing the headstock to my right...wireless would make it less cumbersome...

Dude!!!! Exactly!!! My charcater is a cross between Tony Iommi (all black, trench coat, large Crucifix) and Clint Eastwood's High Plains Drifter....No guns of course...The bassist is heavy into the Steam/DieselPunk theme...

Who is this exactly????

VERY nice guitar too!!!!!
