so confirmed that I’m still good to go in the studio so for the first time ever! I restringed my bass!

Bass strings are expensive compared to guitar...

So I was able to successfully restring it with 55-110

Downside? In order to avoid fret buzz because right now I can’t afford an actual setup, I raised the action and...well... It could be worse...

Well done -- nice boom stick Bubba--

yes Bass string are pricey -- but --- you only need to change them once they basically last for life ----you will find they also get a different tone after a.....20-30 hours of playing ---IMHO warmer --rounder -- fatter tone--

Enjoy man

ALSO -- its a bass you can do the set up for FREEs :) ----if you want to I can walk you through it ---

Ok that brings up an excellent point. I've been watching a lot of spectre sound studios, and basically what Glen's idea is, for recording purposes you should always have new strings. So i was under the impression its like guitar, every time you go to record you put new strings on.

:)

hey man its a free world---- I dont record or gig -- so strings last me a LOOOOOOOONG time----

others here change em like underwear (daily)

MOST bass "guys" (that are OLD and been around) are going to tell you they last a good while-- and they change tone (slightly) with wear-- :)
