Pay Particular attention to this clip at 2:58+ as the blonde girl does a hand stand.

As a kid, I grew up and found a love of skateboarding. Through the pages of Skateboarder mag, I found all sorts of skaters from the West Coast, Florida, New Jersey, AZ. But, most of the female skaters I remember noticing came from California. Names like Ellen Oneal, Vicki Vickers, Michelle Matta, and Peggy Oki.

Anyway, the hand stand girl is none other than Ellen Oneal whom I was blessed to have developed a sweet friendship with during 2019-2020. Through the miracle of the internet and places like Facebook, I was able to tell her how much I admired and appreciated her skating, skill and how she inspired me as a young skater. For the brief time we knew one another, I came to know the woman, wife, mom she was. She moved from Socal to AZ. Sadly 2020 got her too. Freak Heart attack. Thank you for being the amazing and awesome skater and beautiful human being you were and for being such a nice friend to me. RIP Ellen Oneal.
