Gigbag for an SG?

Now, I am a different sort of nut,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

If I was concerned someone might see "Gibson" on my guitar gigbag/case for an SG and had concerns the thinner sized electric case might not feel protect my Gibson style neck well enough, I'd be inclined to buy a gig bag for an acoustic guitar. Then I'd purchase a block of foam padding 1/2 the thickness to be thick enough to fit inside the back of the gigbag and another one thick enough to cover the front.
Then like I did with my Les Paul ANVIL road case, I would custom shave out the foam in the full contour of the body and neck to nest my guitar in and then cover the front of the guitar with the front 1/2 foam.

Somehow I think acoustic guitars are less likely to be stolen than an electric shaped one no matter what name is on the case or not.

As far as the neck angle thing goes, C'mon, itsa gig bag.

The mono bags are rigid, and are not designed for Gibsons - there's no way I'd put a Gibson in one because it'd put a constant pressure on the neck rather than supporting it. I had a mono for a jazz bass and it was excellent for that jazz bass.

Having said that, I have seen threads where gigging musicians do use the Mono m80, so I'm open to being wrong on this. I certainly wouldn't buy one without trying it out, but if you take your SG to a shop, stick it in the mono and it fits well then job's a good ' un.

Probably hard to find, but the older Gibson gig bags are very small....in fact it is hard to get my SG into one, but once inside it can't move. Not even an inch.

Thanks, I have a few of them, but I'm specifically trying not to advertise Gibson on the outside, for safety reasons....

I have hard cases for most of my guitars except one. But when I have a gig I use gig bags
And my 1950'S Les Paul's once in a while I play one live and sure don't want anyone to see the brown Lifton case gig bag baby.

I see no reason to get a hard case for this guitar. Not sure if they make one.
