On my Guitar Center shopping trip a few weekends ago, the Gibson rep that showed up at the Fountain Valley GC had one of these in tow, but a different color, more natural. He was explaining all the details to the GC guys and myself. While a lot of effort went in to it, it certainly wasn't my cup of tea at $6500. I'm not into the relic or worn look.

I guess the reflectors appeared relatively late in 1960. I totally agree on the aging.

True, but one of the things I mentally associate with them is the reflectors. Plus, they just look 10x cooler than the boring top hats.
(I prefer speed knobs anyway, so moot point I guess)

Nope. I'll do the aging all by myself, thank you very much. That, or buy an actual old guitar with real wear.
