Gosh when they go away from the standard shapes they really go all the way to moon far away from reality and taste..... Like what in the hell even IS that thang?! Their modern shapes are ugly AF.
That was a signature guitar body shape, for many years, from Gibson(and Epiphone for a bit) for Tak Matsumoto.(that yellow name link is to the old Sweetwater page for that model)

Except for the color I kind of like it.
Edit: I wish it had a different head stock, but I like the body shape. It's better than a Strat.

I remember when Gibson first came out with those.
Personally, I kind of like them. I’m not a fan of the green, but I generally like them. I would prefer the switch to be in the upper horn somewhere, though.
Oh, and, umm…needs a Floyd!
I like that Tak Matsumoto guitar.
I like the switch in the upper horn, and I think the black definitely looks much better.

I'd forgotten all about the Tak sig model; that was nice, and little less outré than this one.
Here the top horn looks graceless to me, somehow a bit clumsily executed.
I might still be okay with it in all black. Trans finish, not so much.
I have no problem with unconventional body shapes in general; own a fair number of oddballs.
And this one might hang nicely on the body for playing - I couldn't judge that without trying one on a strap.
But off the bat it doesn't attract me. That's just my taste.

That tak matsumoto guitar shape really reminds me of a cross between a PRS CE24 and a Ernie Ball Music Man EVH style guitar.
