I have my local mom and pop shop talking with Gibson about a lefty tuxedo Les Paul Custom. So far, the indication is that they will build it, but has to be done through their Made to Measure program. Now I am waiting for them to get back to me with a price. Has anyone here done this? Can I spec the guitar with alternate parts? That would be cool. Now to get the Harley sold.

I have a Custom Shop but I couldn't change any electeonics on it. I would assume Made To Measure do whatever ya like. I should have gone that route, didn't know I could. Wouldn't have changed much.

You don't have one in your living room?

I thought we all did.... the things you learn about folks.
We have very little in the living room that 120lb dogs haven't destroyed .....the tepee would be fun for a hot minute then I'd be picking up pieces
They destroy KONG toys that CLAIM they are indestructible......yeah right...dog proof maybe....not Anatolian Shepherd proof ....

I haven't done it but from what I have seen it seems to be more like you choose from a list of what is available for that model. Not sure what you mean by alternate parts, but I do not believe, for instance, they would put a Floyd on that model - you'd have to order an Axcess for that. But you would be able to choose between pickups, bridge type (ABR or Nashville), switching...things like that.

2002 I had the Gibson Custom Shop build to order my 1960 RO LPS flitch match top Brazilian rosewood finger board and the neck profile
of my real 1960 LPS what Gibson got correct was the neck profile the burstbucker pickups sounded like mud soon replaced with JM Rolph pickups
last year the RO opened up sounds like the real thing now happy.

I would probably ask Heritage Guitars in Kalamazoo.
They will build a left handed guitar to your specs.
