Only thing is you can't get the cherry finish, but I saw these at the shop the other day and they are stunning. And the necks are a bit beefier than the '61's Slim Taper.

I'm sure you've shown some wonderful guitars (didn't you make a really cool junior?) and amps. Feast our eyes, and show us your favourite gear... :)
My four SG's...
Lily is a 2011 Gibson SG Special Pete Townsend 50th Anniversary. The Gibson lightning bolt bridge was modified with a Schroeder adjustable wraptail bridge. Gibson P90s were replaced with a set of Wolftones. Pickguard by Creamtone. BTW, Gibson P90s are excellent P90s.
Esther is a 1970/71 Gibson SG Standard that I've had since '78. Through the years, it's been heavily Frankensteind. The only original parts is the body, neck, and frets:

SGreenie is a 2002 Gibson SG Special Faded (Originally Worn Cherry, original tuners replaced with Grover Rotomatics)
Norton is an SG Junior kit-build from PGK. Kinman P90

Eight amps in total. And of coarse, all are awesome...
Yamaha THR10
Fryette Memphis 30 (30 watt, Class A, 4x EL84s, 2 Channel)
Allen Amp's Sweet Spot (18 watt, 2x 6V6's, A Princeton Reverb on Steroids, Built from a Kit)
1x12 Cab with a 12" Scumback speaker
Spiffy XVI (I just completed this one. Used to be my old Carvin Vintage 16. Only thing original from the Carvin is the output tranny, reverb pan, and the knobs. 15 watts, 2x EL84s, 12" Weber Blue Dog ceramic)
Allen Amp's Chihuahua (Also built from a kit, 6 Watts, 6V6, 10" Eminence Copperhead speaker, a Champ on Steroids with reverb)

The brown head is a clone of the Marshall 2204/JCM 800 (50+ watt, 2x 6550s, FX loop, Built from scratch)
Avatar 2x12 cab with one Celestion Vintage 30 and one Celestion G12H30

Rivera RockCrusher attenuator
1982 Marshall JCM 800, aka 4104 (50 watt, 2x EL34s, 2x12" Scumbacks, Heavily Frankensteind, Have had this one since '86)
2002 Rivera Quiana (50 watt, 2x 6L6s, 2 Channel, 4x10" speakers, 85 lbs!)

^ fantastic, that's what I was after! :)

I love your SGs, particularly: the Townsend (just about a perfect SG, imho), the faded with crescents is just a great guitar that every SG owner wants..., that junior is stunning, perfect, and that 70 standard is really nice. I have to say, Sir, you have excellent taste in SGs.

Great amps too (although for some reason, in my puny little mind, I seem to remember (wrongly...) you having a Mesa...

&, I've said it before and I'll say it again, that tele in shot (just) next to the junior is one of the nicest teles I've ever seen - you did a superb job there.

If I were settled in a place then I'd be building up some gear like that (maybe not as fine, but I'd try! :) )

Ha ha... Don't have any, but I wish I did!

Are you sure you don't have one tucked away behind something, and you've just forgotten about it???

Any Brothers in AZ, this gem just popped up on CL. :dood:
(i don't own it..)

Anyone else dig a piece of gear, and then it starts poppin up..... :p

The two biggest guitar mistakes I ever made were: 1) selling my junior; 2) not buying a 2016 SG std P90 when I had the opportunity. Having said that, I actually prefer the dots with binding to other inserts (I like the 70s style blocks too), so a nice classic or that damn expensive CS special would see me right.

I know you're right. &, I actually bought one, waited for delivery for 2 months then cancelled the order... But, one thing, a stupid little thing really, has always irked me about that special - the Gibson silkscreen logo, I just don't like it, I want a Pearl/pearloid Gibson logo on a special, preferably in gold (just love the gold for some reason...).

I really want one of these. Was checking one out on Denmark Street a while back. Absolutely gorgeous.

Back on track, I voted for the Junior. I love Junior neck joints, and how stable they are. You can beat the hell out of them.

The heart wants what it wants. That really kind of bugged me about them when I saw them too...they should really have a mother-of-toilet-seat inlaid logo at this price point.
Just like you, I also have a strong preference for the inlaid logos, as well as bound fingerboards.

Hi again Grumpy Betty. Do you currently have any guitars or are you just looking to add some additional ones for variety?

I have this:

20191212_145255.jpg

It's set neck, has Bare Knuckle Nantucket (neck) /Peter Somebody Voodoo (bridge) pickups, a bone nut and Tonepros tailpiece. I like it, it plays nicely, sounds good. The thick goopy poly is something I could do without, but that's what you get with an Epi...

Damn....this talk of SG's has me salivating...

Saw one of these the other day at the shop:

Don't need it, but can't get it out of my mind. The little voice in my head keeps reminding me I don't currently have any guitars with a wang-bar...
Dooooooo iiiiiitttt! Doooooo iiiiiittttt! (In a very spooky voice.)

Guitars don't come much nicer looking than that.
