That is sweet!

Yeah, it has my favourite bits: SG, P90s, batwing, binding and dots, gold pearl inlay. We will see... I'll report back... I'm buying a bit blind here which I promised meself I'd never do after the SG junior experience - yuou need to feel them in your hands to be sure (otherwise there's too much luck involved...).

If you can get an SG Classic at a reasonable cost, you will get a Custom Shop level guitar at off the shelf price.

I wouldn't say it's a reasonable cost. $900 in Japan; get it here, import tax... That'll be $1200 for a 2005. I can get a new 2018 SG standard for the same price!

I wish I could know if any of my fiancee's family has any trips planned from the US to Seoul to carry a guitar to you that you like at a rock bottom price with no shipping costs etc.

I've never seen an SG classic for sale in Korea. I saw one 2016 standard P90 which I wanted to buy (funnily enough, new, it was the same price as this classic, all in all).

What I do like about the one I bought is that it's vintage cherry, by far my favourite Gibson colour. :)

I'll report back.

By the way, I've been thinking/knowing (a bit) about SGs for about 5 or 7 years now, and in that time the SG classics in good condition have added 50% to their value (at least) - $700 guitars are now $1000+ guitars.

But it won't be a real Gibson SG in his hands. I'm thinking that Mr "Betty Boo" Grumpy wants the real thing... and I can't blame him for doing so.

You're right. Everyone is different, there's no right or wrongs, but for me, a good Gibson has been my favourite guitar - maybe there's better out there at a third of the price, that's possible.

&, while we're paying more than we need for the dream, it might be a NAD too - that's why I cut down on the CS price (to add in a f'kin expensive amp...). :)

Or not, I haven't bitten the bullet on the head yet, I sent an email asking them to call me tomorrow to discuss.

&, just in case I do go for it, I've already ordered a cab from Thomann - I think it is truly the best cab going at a ridiculously low price: ENGL E110 gigmaster, very cheap, but sounds great, is light and sounds big for a 10" - a perfect apartment cab (I had one before, loved it).

Come on Sysco, don't be shy - I'm sure you've shown some wonderful guitars (didn't you make a really cool junior?) and amps. Feast our eyes, and show us your favourite gear... :)
Sure! Whatever you want. I still don't know what you mean by MBs... .

I'll get some group shots of some of my stuff. Detailed and closeup pics on anything in particular?
