Did I mention the prices?
The SG is US$3200, but they may come down to US$2500 - still not cheap...
The LP is US$1750, it's a store demo unit, but supposed to be in near perfect condition, full warranty, etc.
Thats a tough decision right there. Might better get both just to make sure
I'd like to, but don't have enough money.
I voted for the SG... But... How about the Framus Phil XG PX90?

Because I tend to sell after a while, resale is important, and in Korea Gibsons and Fenders sell slowly, nothing else sells. I'm also a bit of a Gibson fanboy...
Yeah, I will. One's in Incheon and one's in Seoul. I'll play them both then if one blows me away, at least on a par with me old SG junior, then I'll go for it.
The looks and certainly the feel don't come across in pictures; I suspect the Junior might outgun the special when played? We will see.
Hands-down the SG. It's cooler-looking, more comfortable, and has a neck pickup. Also, I can't quite place it but, as nice a job as the CS does with Les Pauls they are just on some kind of other plane with SG's. Those are some of the best guitars ever made.
I know what you're saying, the SG is sexy in all the right ways whereas the LP isn't. But, there's something about a single pickup junior that just rocks! Now, going back to Phil X, he said a second pickup affects the sound due to the magnet stopping some harmonics, etc. Some people say nay, some people say yay, I am in agreement with Mr X.
SGs are my favourite guitars, and I've found full blown LPs heavy and uncomfortable, but my Epi LP special is light enough and very comfortable, so I'm open to a LP special/junior.
