Got the pickups correctly oriented to the strings, tailpiece raised with Faber locking spacers (to correct for overly steep neck angle) and bridge pole pieces flush with cover...

That's a really simple mod to try, I might just do that today. I like the way the pup is perfectly parallel to the strings angle.

This simple adjustment, that Fil Oliveri turned me on to, made a very dramatic difference in the sound of these pickups. The harshness and bite on the bridge is gone. What remains is just fullnesd and articulation. Amazing...
