Gibson Bashing or good review, What say you?

Metal, in my case, my higher priced ones are also rarities in their own right.
My 2003 I think ES 135 with 57 Classics.
My 1976 Cream SG Std. That came with EMG's and the whole EMG controls, harness etc, Plus the OEM Gibson Tar Backs and Controls.
The final one is my Avatar pic. My 1979 LES Paul STD/LP KM

My Fender Steve Harris P bass Made in Japan is almost in the club, but it is a dream Bass of sorts. To have as players, I use my Alpine white Squier P, and my Black Squier Jazz 77

Look what I found, trem wise.

Soooo…..I watched this, and was kinda surprised at the bit about the “return to pitch” stabilizer thing. I had no idea it was “a thing“ that was built in to this Floyd model. Anywho…it made me want to play around with my Stetsbar equipped SG…it is/was right beside me anyway. So I picked it up, checked tuning, and flogged it like the dude in the video. Well…yep…it stayed in tune. Tried out some shimmer with a bit of delay, and the Sub N Up, for a bit of atmosphere…I had to tighten the bar to remove the slop(I usually leave it kinda loose, so it drops out of the way quickly)…but yeah! It stayed in tune, and was silky smooth….much better than the results he got with the Floyd (with that stabilizer thingie he had been complaining about). Well…any regrets I had about missing out on the Floyd(it came out shortly after I installed my second Stetsbar IIRC) are well and truly gone after seeing that demonstration. So, thanks for that!

I saw that coming,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,"play around with my Stetsbar..."

Glad to have added something to your experience and mindset.

I think that 700-1000 is the sweet spot personally when it comes to quality and playability. Sure there might be a few minor defects in the finish, I’m fine with that but playability… i mean at that I’m really not sure you can get much better.. after that it really just comes down to what is the guitar worth to you? A triple A flame top is absolutely gorgeous, but is that top worth that monstrous price tag? That sort of deal. And I’m not bashing on 2,000 and up guitars but if we are just going by playability, I think there is a point of diminishing returns here.
Once they play perfectly for you and sound great, you can't really improve.
That said, I pay for nice tops etc.

This one is for Metal89

and I completely get that, hell I’m not going to lie. I jumped on the Richie Faulkner axe partly because I knew that it may be my only chance to get his signature axe. Now I had no clue the price would jump up like it did, but I knew once it’s discontinued, it would be pretty damn hard to get.

Like I said, after a certain point. It just comes down to what it’s worth to you. The look of the top, the history of it, even just the brand. Nothing wrong with that and I’m not bashing it at all. My whole point is, the action can only get so buttery smooth before you can’t tell the difference between a 1200 guitar and a 5000 one. So strictly on a practical basis, as in you are about to do a show and need to grab a guitar. 700-1000 can land you with a gig ready guitar no matter your style.

Yup, I totally understood you, Bro Metal

I went to a 3 day school, put on by Floyd Rose at Fender. I have never worked with anything other than a standard Floyd Rose and have had absolutely zero issues with retirn to pitch, when properly set up.
