Sysco, you ever tried an OCD through your THR10? If so, how'd it sound?

I got mine yesterday. I'm usually the guy to buy a pedal after liking the demo videos, putting it on my board for 30 minutes as I run it through my various amps, and decide it's not a keeper for me. This one is different. My first impressions were 'holy s&*t!'. Plenty of gain on tap, and has a very full body. A lot of OD pedals can get thin, but this thing is just juicy, like the harmonics aren't getting lost.
My real test for an OD pedal is to compare it to the crunch on my amps. I build my own amps, but most of them are two channel clean/crunch types. So far, every OD I've tried doesn't really measure up to the crunch channel on my amps. This one does.

^ that's a good report because I agree that very rarely do OD pedals sound as good as a gain/OD/boost on a good amp - I've found very few if any that added anything to my Randal RD or the Marshall Origin boost. But, the OCD clone I had was nice, and did add something to the Marshall.
I'm not sure if the fella in the review above has tried the basic OCD as well as the Germanium version. A few years ago, I used to always buy the germanium options, but that stopped when I realized that I prefered the sound of some of my silicone OD/fuzzes better... I do like the MXR Distortion+ as an OD though, the battery only version, and I think that's germanium.

I have massively downsized my equipment (virtually nothing left), as I really have to focus on my research... &, I was just wondering if an OCD into the THR would work; I think I like the THR (I loved the Chinese multi-clone version before it died).

I don't wanna say this... The SG junior is gone. I sold it to a professional musician, plays weekly, gets paid, also has been teaching guitar for 30 years; he says the junior is the best guitar he has ever played, only plays that guitar since he bought it, and is selling his other 14 guitars (a lot of PRS) and his pedals. I always new that SG junior was a special guitar, so I'm sad that it's gone... But, one day, when the research is done, my company is formed, I'm making good profits, I will get an even better SG...
I'm left with only the Epi LP special, THR 10 and a few pedals which are all up for sale.
Edit to add, he used to take 3 or 4 guitars to his gigs, muck around with pedals, etc, but he now just takes 1 Marshall amp (or his Laney) and the SG junior; he absolutely loves it, says it inspires him to do stuff he has never done before, so the guitar is getting used, played in front of decent sized audiences... That's a good thing.

and video I have watched list it on their must have pedals page.
As for the owner being a douche...if I used that to gauge my purchases I'd have a lot less gear!

I have the white 1.7 version ( according to Fuller it is suppose to be like the 1.4 ). I'm a big fan of germanium in both diodes ( You Dirty Rat) and transistors. I want to try one out in the store first before considering getting one simply because I was not blown away by the online demo I've seen of it.

That also explains the higher price. They become limited, rare, and expensive. The fulltone 69 fuzzes aren't as common either.

I think that you would really like the Prince of Tone. I have one after my KTR for my lead-boost. I love that combination. I don't know how Analogman is these days, but the Prince of Tone was always a standard production pedal, with no waiting list like the King of Tone has.
