In the spirit of @LiveeviL2000 thread on Holy grail gear we wish we had . How about the gear you have kicking around you don't use or should sell to get something you will you use !

Foe some reason i think its 2016 & we are still holding shows

Carvin 24 channel board in road case
2) 18" JBL subs
2) 10" wedge monitors for drummer
4) 15" cabs (2 are powered)
4)15" floor monitors
2) power amps
all the mic's & stands necessary

Can pretty much host a decent outside show but where..when & how??

I'm the outlier. With the exception of a few pedals, I still own everything I've purchased since my first guitar in 1973. And that includes the one amp purchased in '74 and the Fender Vibro Champ that came with my bride in 1978...... whom I'm also still married to.

yes you are sir !! Good job on that & hats off to ya for still being married ! My parents & Grandparents set me the best example on that & I royally messed up !

This year I did get rid of a bunch of stuff I was holding on to for way too long.
1) I still have a Line6 Spyder II, I should get rid of it, but I occasionally use it when I give my grandson lessons. Mostly he plays on the "big" amps.
2) A shedload of pedals collecting dust in my closet. They havent seen the light of day in some time.
3) A Jackson 7 string I break out for the novelty of playing a 7
4) A couple of BC Rich Warlocks
I'm sure if I really look around, there are more things I dont use anymore.

Thank you.

Both our sets of parents were married till.... well... they weren't with us anymore. My brother got married the same year we did. They're still married as well. But my wife's four siblings have either been thru a divorce or married someone that had been divorced. Three of those four siblings divorced and remarried. In fact, her oldest sister who will be 73 later this month, gave her jerk of a husband (her second) of 45 years his walking papers last year. Frankly, none of are sure how she put up with his crap as long as she did. So don't beat yourself up. Poop happens.

I still have nearly everything I've ever purchased as well. I did sell a JOYO Zombie that I had to a brother here though once.
I think that's about all.

Stuff that I've considered selling before:

All of my Jacksons and/or anything else I have with a wiggle stick and/or a bolt on neck... Well....maybe I'd keep one, just in case. I just don't play with them anymore. They hang on the wall doing absolutely nothing and taking up space lol

I have a hard time getting rid of gear I still have my old PA system Electro Voice passive with Crest amps sounds great
hurts my back looking at them switched to QSC K12.2 43 pounds each 1000 watts RMS 2000 peak
my amp room is worse I can't walk into it and is the largest room in my house
still have 3 drum sets 5 cymbal sets 5 top of the line snare drums
I think I have 37 guitars and 50 guitar amps 30+ microphones and tons of cords and much more
and my amp repair and building supply's one point the amp repair and playing gigs has paid for my music sport.

Thats a cool byproduct of buying and selling. The interesting (and sometimes weird) people you meet.
I do well with ones my age range is seems. Notice a back n forth swap of same gear every few years as we drive ourselves nutz for about 3 1/2 minutes of tone heaven.

Me & this guy have swapped a DSL 100 3 times in 6 years. Each time our tech friends made it better. Trying to find it actually. Got that thing very organic & open. Got Ultra side very tight & no fizz.

Also, having a hard time finding or starting a band. I will play any instrument needed, provide the practice spot, write it , record it. provide the gear, the gigs, studio time lol even Take a passive role & just do my job if needed if it gets me playing.

Years ago if you bumped into another player that sorta had your look & music interest. Heck you were on stage in 3 months with original tunes being hashed out. What has happened to people who won't work a lil & then go enjoy the playing of the music you created together !

Seems like nobody wants to put in the time anymore.

The stupid part of my life is since 2010 I play five guitars and two amps they are choice getting the sound my dreams are made of
we get over a million cruse ship passengers a year some famous acts want to get on stage and show off I need a edge
Dumble style amps and quality guitars work well. My drummer quit we had the band for 10 years I'm not in a band now
but my friend Joe and I have been writing new songs getting to know how to use recording gear.
a whole new level of perversion

I'm guilty of pack rat syndrome honestly. In my entire life I've only ever sold a Peavey Envoy 110 to a friend, a Peavey 5150 head to another friend who screwed me on that in the end and sold a Johnson J Station fx unit. I gave away a few cheaper fx units like a DigiTech and a Zoom to some people but Ive never sold any guitars.

But, the question was something I should have gotten rid of: so, previously I would've had no issue parting with an Epiphone G-400 I've had for years. Fine guitar, no faults in it but I seriously don't play it. Other than that, I got like 5 acoustics and I play maybe ONE which is a Washburn, sometimes a Takamine. The other 3? I would easily part with them but too lazy lol

I've got a late 70s Japanese made Epiphone acoustic that I've been trying to sell for ages, but won't seem to go way. It's quite the horrible guitar,. Now that I have some nice acoustics, I've been trying to finally get rid of this. Maybe, I should have it set up properly. Also toying with maybe letting go of a Telecaster, and maybe my '79 solid state Marshall combo.

These are my kids.
