To me, that guitar (along with Duane Allman’s SG and Les Paul goldtop) is the holy Grail. Peter Green was such a great player. (Gary Moore was no slouch either...).
Kirk Hammett reportedly payed over $2 million for it, so at a mere $11.500, the reissue is practically a steal...

When I disappoint someone, I feel, as though, I have, somehow, fulfilled some divine purpose...
Honestly??? All kidding and joking aside...
I work in a studio for a living and I think my ear is fairly acute. The Les Paul's in general - even the Burny's which are all replicas - have a very bold, big tone compared to other instruments in the 24.75" scale length. Now, I do not know if it's wood, if it's where the pickups reside in relation to the bridge, or the length/strength of the tenon...I'm really not sure. But, what I can tell you is, many engineers will key the mic and say, "I don't like the tone. Grab a Les Paul and let's hit it again."
I've never heard an engineer say "Grab a PRS."
