I'm not what you would say a fan of that genre and I did resist on principle when it was on it's first run (not a trendy kinda guy)

But goddamn I'm enjoying the crap out of this show1719202518590.gif

The acting, the storyline, the violence, the cinematography, the hot chicks1719202691692.gif

What's not to like?

I’ve read all the books….. not watched a single episode. Partly because we don’t have HBO.

I was also a late comer. My wife got me interested in like season 3 or 4, so I need to re-watch from the beginning.
The thing about popular shows it that often they are popular for a reason (Tiger King, Jersey Shore, and Keeping Up with the Kardasians, excepted of course). :)

And here's me thinking I was the only person who'd never seen an episode...
Books were/are good. Also understand HBO took some creative liberties in the show that differed a bit from how things happened in the books. Not necessarily was the outcome different. But how the show got from point A to B.

Great show but IMO they ruined it during the last 2 seasons. Stop watching after season 6.
Well the books ruined it after the first 2 or 3 books, can’t remember.
There is basically no story, each chapter is a different group of people trudging through the land but no story tying them together.
But I read all the books and watched all the seasons, you can easily find worst to read and watch

Agree on how they were written. Took me a bit….. but I did get into them. It’s a style. Not plot driven but character driven.

Game of Thrones was pretty cool but not near as cool as

Thinking about a reboot. Winter is coming.

I loved the English and Scottish accents and the voices of most actors, epic.
I liked the first seasons but it faded away at the end.
I have to watch House of the dragons but my daughter said it is just waisted time.
I will see.

I 5 in a column but Life is good,
Robin

The show changed quite a bit of what happened in the books.
Then by season 5 or 6 HBO did their own thing since there werent any books to follow.
I wont discuss what happened since there are people watching for the first time, I dont want to spoil anything.

I knew that about season 5 & 6. A lot of people invested a lot of time reading the first books. A lot of people really ticked off at the author for not finishing the story.
