Volkswagen recently filed a groundbreaking trademark in Mexico. CarBuzz has discovered via The Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) that VW's head office filed a trademark for the slogan, "nur synthetische blinkerfleussigkeit verweden," which translates as "use only synthetic blinker fluid."
We've been waiting for a manufacturer to improve the turn signal experience for years, but all of them have been too busy designing EVs to focus on the essentials. We're glad VW is getting back to the basics.

And I'm betting sythetic or standard won't make a difference. People will still let the blinker fluid resevoir run out rendering said blinkers inoperable.

I wish my blinkers used a reservoir. Mine are a sealed system. First, you have to release a pressure valve. This allows you to drain the old blinker fluid. Once you refill with the fresh fluid, you have to first bleed the blinkers before you re-seal the pressure valve. That can be a pain.

I'm wondering if the synthetic blinker fluid lasts longer than conventional blinker fluid. That would be cool because I'm guessing my blinkers would maintain full brightness for a longer period of time.

You're right, either one blinks no problem.
But standard fluid voids the warrantee.
Then, when the blinker fluid receiving tank check valve fails (as usual...) you are stuck w/ the invoice.
Lessons learned I'm afraid.

With all the sensors on todays cars…. Lane change sensor….. seat sensor that buzzes if you don’t have seat belt fastened…. Etc…. Maybe the manufacturers can put the equivalent of a dogs shock collar in the seat. Change lanes without signal….. butt gets shocked. Turn wheel X number of degrees without signal. Butt gets shocked. Enough times of that and you won’t be forgetting to use signal.
