One thing I did notice watching all these "live" clips of theirs.
Everyone, including when they have singers, are always looking his way for the changes and any improv spots. He's def the straw that stirs the drink.

But anyone playing in that group is off the charts talent wise. Cory Wong has to be the new "Nile Rogers", just so funkified it's un-real, love the clean guitar chord stabs.

As soon as @eSGEe posted Beastly, I sat down that same night to figure out that bass line, and it's not anything wild technically. But the boy sure brings the feel on that D pentatonic bass line.
