From the mouth of the master.....................Jeff Beck

Well although I barely even know who Jeff beck is.... I am not familiar with any of his music whatsoever.

I would gladly see your JB and raise you a Randy Rhoads or even a Gary Moore.

Les Pauls are, in every single way, better than strats.

Unless, of course, you like plastic, squeaky, thin tone, bendy necks and hideously shaped guitars.... in which case I would concede.

I read something a long time ago about Hendrix and his use of Strats. Basically he said that he loved Gibsons, and preferred to play them. Especially for blues. By Electric Ladyland, he was using the Flying V and an SG Custom more often live, and especially in the studio. He considered them real musical instruments and works of art. Something that shouldn't have to be put through his punishment and theatrics. He said the Strats were more ruggedly made for abuse, but lacked the sound of a Gibson.

I play my Custom Shop Les Paul most of the time at home in the music room living room my Explorer or Parker Fly Deluxe
My Fender guitars shine with the Dominion Fuzz Gibson's not to good with the Fuzz I noticed Jimmi was having issues with effects
on his Gibson Vee at the Maui show also.

Whatever works. Throw an HB in the bridge of a Strat and other than scale length and string spacing, one should be able to make a go of it.
In terms of beauty?
LPs all the way.
I prefer my Modern Axcess Custom Shop for high fret access.
Les Pauls are a work of art.
Telecasters (example) are ironing boards.
