Wow! I like how you hear and find notes and I love the dissonance....is that term I'm looking for?
It's so different from how my simple brain and ears work ha ha, part of the magic of music indeed.

Have you ever listened to the album Zoon by the band The Nefilim? I think you would love it to no end. It's definitely a headphone album, but once in awhile I hear things that you do that remind me of that.

It's been a really long while since I posted something here. A lot of stuff was going on, from being in a funk as well as just running out of any ideas or inspiration. Kinda just walked away from the guitar for a couple months because I felt like everything I played just kinda sucked honestly: hated what I was doing, hated the tone, etc. Didn't help I was taking medicine that was supposed to help me in said funk but all it did was just demotivate me.

So, after a bit of a sabbatical ( or SABBATH-ical) I gotta kick in the ass from two different sources.
Namely, it was my wife gifting me a pedal for Christmas that I took as " you better use it, pal" and then from an unlikely source: having to suffer and listen to a miserable hipster girl named "Twooba" on YouTube ( my nemesis lol)! I dunno, kinda channeled my anger in a more positive way and got inspired for the first time along with having something new to work with. So, going back to where I first started when it came to making a short recording in the first place; I went back to that sound and was happy! Imagine that lol

Anyways, "Outta The Darkness and Into The Light" ( no it aint Pantera, just felt like tossing that in lol): here's something new for a change, be it good or bad!

Good stuff - would love to hear it with a different guitar that has more growl/bite to the tone.

Well, this morning I'm playing requests!

The Gibby V has been a bit on the mellow side lately, I wonder if something's up with the wiring.... The most difficult of all my guitars to check wiring on, of course..... I fear a pot is barely grounding out or something. Going to have to tear into that soon.

Now it sounds entirely different! Lol not the song but the tone definitely. Has a sharper edge to it. Has a sound like Gary Holt in the early Exodus days ( makes sense since he went onto Slayer!) Lol
