FRIDAY NIGHT RIFFS

Cool here's a brief rundown.
at 15, I Popped an acl in high school playing football. Lost football/track scholarships.
1. Repair with patellar tendon graph.
Dr. Gave me a bone infection.
2. And 3. To remove hardware, scrub, redo, chest cath to fight off infection.
4. Few yrs later at jr. College tore cartilage out in same knee.
5. And 6. Trying to walk on to university bball team, wrecked my good knee, Acl, mcl, 3 cartilage tears. Took 2 surgeries to fix all that.
7. Few years later, Arthritis and meniscus removal in original knee.
8. Meniscus tear in 2nd knee. Just a few years ago.
I need titanium replacement in the original knee and have for years, just fighting it off as long as possible.
And you can still go out hunting! That's good to know, it hasn't been quite a year since I busted my tibial plateau up real nasty, some other stuff that came along with it, mcl, meniscus tear, and also infection which required a 3rd surgery to take care of. For a while I wasn't sure if I'd be able to go out and do any hunting or anything anymore, but I have been feeling stronger and more like before than I have since I biffed it on that dirt bike....but here you are after 8 rebuilds and still hunting 'yotes!

I have numbness all down my shin from the surgeries, from my knee to my ankle, probably because they had to hack through a lot of nerves. You have or had that before? If so, did your feeling ever come back, and did it take a long time?

My college roomy used to own that same guitar, I would send him these pics all the time ha ha ha ha

I think there's supposed to be a guitar in the picture somewhere???
What guitar?

I was looking at photos and found this riff or what I recorded for what I don't remember but sounds like I had drum going in the flat response cab and hit record on the phone.
The little 5150 lbx 15w is still a kick ass Marshall sounding amp.

I still have dead spots on both knees from the zippers I'm sure. They don't tingle or anything, just dead.
Heck I get out and put up to 15 miles a day in the mountains when I'm archery hunting elk. It swells and kills me, but I do it anyway! My old wreck knee is in much worse shape than my newer wreck.

It's been a really long while since I posted something here. A lot of stuff was going on, from being in a funk as well as just running out of any ideas or inspiration. Kinda just walked away from the guitar for a couple months because I felt like everything I played just kinda sucked honestly: hated what I was doing, hated the tone, etc. Didn't help I was taking medicine that was supposed to help me in said funk but all it did was just demotivate me.

So, after a bit of a sabbatical ( or SABBATH-ical) I gotta kick in the ass from two different sources.
Namely, it was my wife gifting me a pedal for Christmas that I took as " you better use it, pal" and then from an unlikely source: having to suffer and listen to a miserable hipster girl named "Twooba" on YouTube ( my nemesis lol)! I dunno, kinda channeled my anger in a more positive way and got inspired for the first time along with having something new to work with. So, going back to where I first started when it came to making a short recording in the first place; I went back to that sound and was happy! Imagine that lol

Anyways, "Outta The Darkness and Into The Light" ( no it aint Pantera, just felt like tossing that in lol): here's something new for a change, be it good or bad!
