sounds kind of a mafia film soundtrack when the boss is going to get whacked. This is a snippet of a chord progression for a new song I'm writing. Trying out a bit jazzier chords.
Part A is: Am Am Bm7b5 E7
Part B: is: Dm Am Dm Am E7
Don't know if it'll go anywhere but I Like the chords.
Nice work Kerry, it does sound a bit eerie , like Ramo said like something bad is about to happen. This is a snippet of a chord progression for a new song I'm writing. Trying out a bit jazzier chords.

I’m trying to come up with a happier B section. It needs some major chords. I like the tension in A but it needs better, happier resolution in B.Nice work Kerry, it does sound a bit eerie , like Ramo said like something bad is about to happen.
Thanks for posting

I like it the way it is!I’m trying to come up with a happier B section. It needs some major chords. I like the tension in A but it needs better, happier resolution in B.
That’s great bro.I was working on a couple new riffs and brought them to the jam room. LRT didn't care for the one so much, said it was too "punky" and I tend to agree....we worked on it for a while and kinda gave up on it. I still have ideas for it though and will continue to forge until it works. I'm not a punk guy, but there is plenty of common ground between it and thrash metal. However, the things LRT and I tend to write together is not exactly "thrash" at all. It's slower paced, often downtuned and weighty-er music...so I might have to adapt my one riff idea into something maybe less fast and more chunkier. I dunno yet.
On another note, I plugged in a chorus pedal and it made me want to play like I haven't played in a long while. We jammed for quite a bit the other night....well, at least until we ran out of beer....and I thought we were beginning to create something new.........and then we didn't jam again yet
But at least I feel like I'm clawing my way out of the rut.
Ok now when they are played back to back , the boss doesn’t get shot and his girl finds him at the beachMy last post was in a minor key. This time it's in a major key to compare them. I was trying to write a cheerful song but the minor key sounds way better to me. What do you think, minor or major? The lead on both parts will not be the final melody. I'm just looking for feel right now.
A minor
Part A is: Am Am Bm7b5 E7
Part B: is: Dm Am Dm Am E7
A Major
Part A is: Amaj7 Amaj7 Bm7 E7
Part B: is: D A D A E7
ohhh that plaster is so cute.View attachment 61123
No riffs from me tonight. Bandaid on my trigger finger makes me way too slow and clumsy. Like I needed any help with that.
