FRIDAY NIGHT RIFFS

Was watching one of my favorite movies ever , Point Break ( always makes me wanna rob a bank so i can live on a beach and surf, but thats besides the point lol) and decided to go grab my guitar and learn this on the spot. LA Guns Over the Edge. Just a rough cut, no Bob Rock productions here lol

I am thirsty and it makes me wanna go rob the store.....

I would enjoy it more if your lazy ass was a bit bothered to record it properly. The solo needs more work, ( sorry I could not help not mention).

I've heard that song somewhere before, cant remember where.

good work man.

Lol well thank you my friend.

There's two schools of thought on the subject: i could just pick up my guitar and play from inspiration with warts and all as it IS a rough first attempt and in a live no-second chances situation or, i could cheat and cut and paste it to death with software for days on end to where it would indeed sound better but lack any fun or spirit in that moment

you still can make one take sound good, without studio Bob Rock edit. What I mean by that is, you set up a mic, put your phone camera on and grab the guitar and play it. once you are done synch them, it's still one ''rough, with feel, authentic, organic, the first attempt'' take, you get my drift? just my humble opinion... you do what you want boy...

now, so you call my takes cheats? ha? ha? I'll bear spray you

Hahaha let's see your can
Nah i get you, it admittedly can always be better but i just hit the record when the mood strikes and lately its been from first attempts " ready set go"

At the end of Law Abiding Citizen
there is a song played during the credits, I thought it was a new song but sounded very familiar, I caught the movie again last night and waited through it and to my surprise it was who I originally thought it was Grand Funk Railroad.
Cool ass old tune, Farner has a unique voice that you just don’t hear people sing like anymore

Absolutely! Grand Funk is extremely underrated these days but they were way ahead of their time. They helped carve out what would become American Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal with an amazing power trio: easily one of the best rhythm sections ever and a great vocalist.

Both that movie and song are awesome too by the way. I was working in a Federal Prison at the time and our guard/escort was telling us about prison shivs and mentioned this movie as being pretty accurate over why they dont allow bones in meat, because it can be fashioned into a weapon, just like how Gerard Butler uses the T-Bone in the infamous dinner scene. I went home that day and rented it lol
