FRIDAY NIGHT RIFFS

Tonight I had issues with my TSL.... Was popping and jumping volumes.... I punched on it a bit... Sprayed deoxit into every little hole...
Ended up swapping the power tubes out...
Fixed it I think!

Anyhow here's tonights dishonorable discharge.

Good stuff brutha!

Funny to me how the only amps I routinely read about folks having issues with are the Marshall D/TSLs and Blackstars. Since Blackstar is essentially Marshall Jr., it makes me wonder what shared technology and/or suppliers they both use that can't compete with the Mesas, Fenders and Peavey's of the world...

All that to say, my old JCM900 was the amp I used the most/pushed the hardest and after about 3 years of daily use (3-4 hours at 8+ volume), it never once failed to roar. But, it was built in 1990/91 I think, not 20xx.

Probably how there are seemingly lots of Ford f150 problems.... Maybe not because they inherently have problems, but it's because there are millions and millions of them working hard every day.

This thing has seen a few hours of hard use as well ha ha. I really love it too! My first real tube Marshall, and the one I had always wanted.

Good analogy. My view of the MoshAll problem is also skewed thanks to @Ramo , @LiveeviL2000 and you all having D/TSLs and all have had issues in the last 6 months.

The only problem I have ever had with my Dsl40c’s is a preamp tube.. and power tubes.. and at one time I had 4 of them.
And only one had a power tube problem.. and the one that my grandson was using had a preamp tube go bad.. two of them have never had a problem at all.
And I also miss @Ramo

I summoned him - he'll probably say no and mumble something about Grandpa Guitars and lack of speeeeeeddddddddd... but then he'll show up anyway. Just watch.

Keep watching...

I'm serious...

Are we there yet?
