FRIDAY NIGHT RIFFS

While way not the same as you guys with your gazillion gigawatt amps….. I have had the stereo in my car cranked high enough I’ve actually felt the seat belt vibrate…… that counts for something……. Right?
I think vibrating seatbelts count.

I don’t know about gazillion gigawatts.
I only have 40w. Although I one day aspire to get to ...

I have a couple of 20w amps and they can get really loud.
Next month I should have my 50w with 212cab ... that should be interesting. I wonder if my wife and the cats will conspire to kill me or kick me out.
I also have at my disposal a little 5w Fender Vibro Champ. Sounds decent….. but the Traynor sounds way better.

I figure I’ll post this here.
I went to put a riff together today.
So I hurried home and my grandson was there. So I asked him if he wanted to practice guitar and he uncharacteristically said no. I found that a little odd but I didn’t push the matter.
After he left, I turned everything on and BOOOOOOOM!!!! I hit a G power chord and my eardrums exploded, my heart stop, eyeballs sucked into my head and my butthole puckered! The cats looked like they lost 2 of their 9 lives and my wife used some colorful language.

Apparently, my grandson decided to start turning every knob on my amp and pedals like it was a launch at NASA.
Yes the master volume was dimed.

It was one of those rare moments where I was pissed, confused, excited and impressed.

Once my adrenaline comes back down and my heart starts beating normally again. I’ll reset everything. Right now I’m pretty sure the local bomb squad is in route to investigate the explosion.

A few months ago I got a deal I couldn't refuse on a Mesa oversized 412 cabinet. If you're a metal guy, you know this is the Holy Grail of guitar cabs. So, I had to grab it. Brought it home, hooked up my JCA100HDM and turned it to like 4 or 5... it was so loud my rib cage was shaking.

After playing thru it for about an hour, I resold it... way too much volume for a home office/studio, but man it was one awesome hour. :rolf:

did you just basically say "it was too loud"?!?!:blink:
You are to turn in your metalhead membership card immediately! Your Barry Manilow card will be in the mail shortly along with your AARP voucher.

Thats 310watts for those counting.
I think you should string them all in front of the house and blast metal guitar instrumental x-mas music all day!
I did string them all together once
And at the time it was 380 watts
2 Origin 50 H’s
2 Dsl40c’s
2 3210’s and all 8 MG cabs
Mother’s Day Trash is what I recorded. With the set up..

Mitch

I used to be meticulous where I set them, these days I twist em around every other day depending on what I'm feeling or what guitar is plugged in.
My Dsl40c’s are in the same place I put them when I got them ha ha .. but the Origins have been moved around a few times. But I have yet to find the magic spot to record them with my phone !!

That’s because you love that phaser phone.
I keep saying you should get the cheap little interface I use. It would be a great Xmas gift idea.
