Do it. Put these on my Strat. Added the pearloid pickguard replacing the antique white it came with. Also upgraded the pups and pots after I had a pup die and a bit later a tone pot puked. Aftermarket pups to replace the Noiseless Fender ones that were standard. Fender are A5 magnets. Aftermarket are A2 to theoretically mimic pups that have “worn” over time. Gotta say. I’m pleased in that now I feel I’ve got the true Strat sound.I believe the Ramo Pick Flick is under some kind of Copy Right protection, I dare not ... plus I've tried the pick flick and it's not easy!
Second ... There is something about a single coil strat that makes for catchy riffs ... I can't explain it, but yes, it's stuck in my head too ... its a happy sounding riff.
I was thinking about upgrading the pups on it to texas specials ... but I dont know yet.
Right now I'm waiting for the vol pot to show up. I ordered all three pots, going to replace them all. The pots that are in there are pretty cheap.
and I'm putting these knobs on them. I think it would look sharp.

Pots was a kit I got from RS Guitarworks. CTS units. Tone are the usual audio taper 250 ohm. Volume is a 280 ohm linear taper…. Which suits my style playing way better than the on/off audio taper volume pots. I tend to play closer to 3 than I do 8-10.
In the end. While I wasn’t happy to have issues with electronic failing…. I really love what this guitar has become with the changes I’ve made.
