So, for the past year - on April 27th actually - I've been playing my 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute on a daily basis for just about everything.
As I posted in another thread, I recently heard a harmonic-like ping - while listening to a playback - that seems to come out when doing hammer ons and fast arpeggios.
Sure enough, I looked close and found that several of my frets were worn flat and low enough to allow the string to 'ping' over the adjacent fret instead of ringing out.

I had never looked closely during string changes and I missed this altogether.
So, knowing that I ccan't use this guitar for hire in such condition, I switched over to my double neck temporarily.
Wow. The difference the crowned frets makes is just amazing.
The notes are so clear and even with .010's on the double neck - as opposed to .009's on the Les Paul, its much easier to bend the strings.
I am going to try and set some time aside to level and crown the Les Paul this weekend...
