Frank Zappa was cool even before he was the Frank Zappa we know

Fascinating, but weird at the same time. I like a lot of Zappas stuff, but I doubt that would win a Grammy... ;)
 
Frank was a genius, but not a lot of his music was liked or understood by most people. I on the other hand have nearly his entire collection...well over 50 albums. I've seen him live 5 times and he was one of my earliest shows when I was 13 my Mom took me to see him. His opening act was Robin Trower...who at that point I'd never heard of...and from then on someone I'd never forget!
