Why does that LP look extra thick, is it just the pic? Whatever it is, I'm drooling.

Customs always look thicker to me. I think it's because of the back binding - the rear edge is more squared-off because of the binding, instead of radiused without. My '79 Custom is ever so slightly thinner than any of my other carved-top LPs, but visually seems a bit thicker.
 
That bound white Les Paul Custom is a beauty.If its a older one it prolly is thicker than newer stuff. Probably no weight relief body there. I love white Les Paul Customs.

White are my second favorite after Silverburst. I would probably own one now except for the fact that the new ones have weight relief.

Back when I had a Les Paul Studio, my Custom was thicker than the Studio. I don't recall exactly how much, but I think it may have been nearly 3/16" thicker.
