I have had Fender Mustangs line (love those for the $)
Vox Vtx line
and many others by Peavey... line 6 -- blackstar---MARSHALL CODE (my least favorite)

VOXVtx line has (IMHO) the best online interface and "toneroom" software
the Mustang has great tone and much more easily USEABLE as a stand alone good sounding amp with extra "toys"

buy cheap play learn sell move on ;)

I like mine. Grab n go practice amp w effects etc.
I should record some samples with mine.

I had a K-50 and tried to use it for practice when I was still playing with the band, but it's power section completely fell apart at volume. It sounded good in the lowest wattage setting at basically conversation volume (and I raved about it for low volume use) and that made it a great bedroom/practice amp, but it was useless with the band or really anything above average at home volume - I really should have gotten the 100, I probably would have had a better experience.

I have the 100 mainly for the 8 presets and the nice 6 button footswitch. Seems resaonable in jamspace with the drummer we had, 50 watt setting MV on maybe 3 or 4. Thats as loud as it had to be in that space amd where it was sitting.
Probably wouldn't be ideal up any more than that.

That probably explains why I see so many of them for re-sale locally. There are almost always 4 or 5 of them on Marketplace in the $150 range. I have a buddy who uses one and gets monster sound out of it with lots and lots of tonal variety, but he runs it through FOH when he plays live.

I had a K-50 quite a while ago and thought it was not too bad. Sold it to buy a Marshall DSL40C.

I am thinking of buying another Mk II version so I can use the “Power Amp In” input as a cheap relatively flat response power amp for my newly acquired ZOOM G3xn.

I think the Katana sounds better than the sims on G3. To me.
Y'know, I used the BluGuitar Amp 1 to do a demo song idea for the band amd direct out sounds remarkably good, esp played back in the vehicle or good headphones. Shockingly good to me.
Can't wait to properly play thru a cab amd demo it for you all.

I like the software editor though........ maybe we could get them to ADVERTISE here (??) ;)

I will actually be moving some things around int he doom room today to accommodate my new (used) to me VoxVt20X -- that uses that same software...... the 8inch 5ohm (yes....5 WTF?!?!) speaker is well .... not good ....
but ... My goal is using the software editor and essentially the combo will be a "head" into the presonus monitors ;)
Im guessing that will sound MUCH better
also you can add an external speaker out and run a VT20X to a larger (peavey 12 cab) and it sounds ...well LIKE A REAL AMP not a box of bees

AND FOR SPEC-- I have carried BOXES OF BEES home from the post office (yes... we "beekeep" in our SPARE time (lol) so I REALLY "F"ing know what a BOX OF BEES SOUNDS LIKE --

Another Katana 50 fan here. But I sold it to a gigging buddy of mine.
Hadn't planned on selling it, but he played it, loved it and asked, 'wanna sell it"?
I had too many amps anyway, and I never did wrap my head around getting downloadable effects into it.
So off it went.
