FOR SALE: Two Stratocaster including My #1 American Deluxe!

Good to hear!

That honey gold is just a beauty too, even though I dont usually dig gold hardware.
This inspires me to play my S-type this evening!
I have really been more at home lately with 24 3/4" scale with HB.
Still having a love / hate quarrel with my P90's....

How is your shoulder diagnosis/ treatment coming along?

I have to see a physical therapist next week. My general practitioner wants me to start there. She just doesn't have the
specialized knowledge to do anything but refer me up the ladder. They won't let me choose. I have to work my way up,
but I can just feel there is something wrong that physical therapy is not going to solve...

I really feel a lot of doctors play games these days so they can all get a slice of the pie from my insurance...or maybe
I'm just being cynical and this is the right path to take.

The shoulder is not getting any better on it's own while I wade through doctor after doctor...

Yeah, how's it feeling? I agree totally with your comments about the Dr's just running up the billing. I dislocated my right shoulder and tore up the rotator cuff badly, also broke my clavicle at the same time which shortened my right shoulder about 1cm after it healed (this was in a mountain biking accident) and the Dr's and PT's just gave me the runaround about rehab and pain, trying to get me back for visit after visit after visit (especially the physical therapists who made it sound like I'd need therapy for a decade to make it any better). Eventually, I got fed up and just cut them out and started a strict regimen of strength training to build up the muscle around everything, and whaddya know, the pain went away. It means I have to go to the gym every day and keep it up the rest of my life but I am now pretty much pain free and have gotten back at least 90% of my original range of motion, all without having to pay their extortion.

I, too, have started to use weights to loosen things up and keep it mobile. Been doing full arm rotations with a 5lb kettlebell to start. Seems to keep the stinging pain away, but heavy guitars often remind me.

I went all-in. I push more weight now than when I was in my 20's, and have built up more muscle mass than at any time in my life. I just found that the more I lifted the better it got, so I try to maintain that strength to the best of my ability. I know as I age I will start to lose mass naturally so I am trying to build up as much as I can now.

The first few months of doing it hurt like hell.

Just got caught up here, been out of the loop.
I have been told there is a general protocol or algorithm that ins. And doctors follow but it could all be a well crafted milking of the customer (patient?).
In general they try therapy and healing treatments and sugery as a last resort.
Sounds good on paper but I think they milk it .

Again best of luck, positive mojo and prayers to you for a good final outcome.

They definitely milk it and they also get the drug companies in the loop and try to prescribe pain killers. I always refuse that route!

Therapy can't fix everything...

My brothers was simple I guess. No idea about mine until the MRI and such...
In my case (2010?), the MRI showed damage, but as far as tearing was concern, it was inconclusive. Doc agreed, and said that he need's to get in there and see wtf is going on, but... more than likely it's scar tissue building up around the ligaments that surround other moving muscle and ligaments in the shoulder. This is where I learned of "Clean-up" surgery. Anyways, after some micro surg, Doc says that no tears were detected, but continued with routine clean out. And that's all that I needed.
