So, the saga continues with Tiger.
I first began going to a Vaccination clinic about 20 minutes south of our place since March 2022 when I needed boosters for our 2 feral brothers, Blackie and Orangie. Then when Orangie died from getting hit by car, and momma died in 2023/24, I wound up not going back until White Spot needed his own Triple Test, and Leukemia, FCRP initial shot and boosters, This is when I found out he has feline AIDS, and luckily was negative for Leukemia, Heartworm. Flash forward to today now that Tiger was neutered and got his FRCP and Rabies Vax's , I sought to get his Triple test done too. Same result as White Spot. both of these boys were Neg for heartworm and Feline Leukemia but positive for FIV. THE REASON I started the thread with calling it a Saga is because not only did Tiger escape the grasp of a vet tech in a mobile Vetco van on Wednesday when I tried to get this test done, but today at around 11 AM, he did likewise at the Pet Wellness clinic and this time he was climbing their shelves, knocking supplies off the shelves, and then he got up on top of the dividing walls between his exam room and the next. This is where he did his Simone Biles Balance Beam routine until ladders, towels, brooms were employed to knock him off the perch as I hoped he land in the cat carrier I held skyward. No luck but he landed on the floor only to hop onto the exam table he started at. Then it was on into the cat carrier for us to abort the effort for the AM.
The Dr, said he could see him back at the end of the day once he finshed the last animal at roughly 3 pm and sent me home with Gabapentin to sedate him some. He ate the pills fine in his food, and we returned as planned. However, as the vet attempted to put a cone on him, he bolted free of my grasp and the grasp of the vet tech and back up to the shelves to knock more stuff off again. This time, the vet got his snare pole and looped his neck and we got him down off the wall and on the floor where we put a muzzle and towel on him. Then the 3 of us and lift him with towel, gloved hands and the snare pole. From there, he spent the next 15-20 minutes on the table getting his blood drawn, his Feline Leukemia Booster, Flea meds, and exam for temp, inspection of his neuter surgery site and finally safely back into the crate.
2 of the 3 tests were negative, which was a relief considering Feline Leukemia is a major one. Also, based on my White Spot having FIV Tiger tested positive for Feline Aids- FIV too.
At least my other original Feral, Blackie is negative for all 3. So, now all I have to do is figure out their living arrangements to negate all chances of fights and disease transfer, plus take Tiger BACK to the clinic in a few weeks for his 2 boosters. Hopefully I can train him to be calmer for his next trip once inside the vets office.

THANK YOU very much. Unless something bad happens, I have one more trip back to the clinic in a few weeks to get Tiger his 2 boosters. If all goes well, there will be no more escaping to climb the walls and shelves etc in the exam rooms for MR Tiger on that trip.
