For all you cat lovers out there..

The saga of my crazy cats continues. Last night was a doozey as 11PM struck midnight and by 1 AM I was showering the evidence of cat off my bod.

Friday evening, I had decided to let the little cat, White Spot outside for freedom. However, in the back of my mind were his cat/raccoon fight wounds that he was riddled with prior to my TNR'ing him I've been trying to get him healed up and fewer repeat incidents, by keeping him indoors while trying to trap the lurking big Tabby. AND now to find out, visiting Raccoon.

The adventure continued, at meal times due to increased caution and a return toward his original fear of me. I definitely can read him as not wanting to give me the chance to pick him up and carry him into the house and into the crate. Last night confirmed it. Unfortunately, during feeding time, my Tux ate his bowl but like he has been doing recently, he leaves a couple bites full of food in his dish. White Spot ate all of his, but shortly after both finished, I saw their distance from the bowls and an awareness of surroundings that was in their posturing. Soon I would see and hear why they fixated on everything but me.

It was dark at 11:30 ish obviously, and the culprit arrived under my step van. The Big Grey Tabby was back and looking to score some food.
Now, in order to break up the now yowling and sources of fighting sounds, I deemed it wise to bring White Spot and Blackie into the house for the duration of the night. THE adventure commenced as soon as I felt and saw how WS reacted to my picking him up and heading thru the kitchen and into the dining room where his crate is. I started hearing the sound of him peeing himself, leaving a 20 foot long trail of male cat urine on my food cooler, the plywood subfloor, and even a couple of 4 foot x8 inch off cuts of cabinet grade ply wood near his crate. Thus began my effort to get a rag and hot water and Dawn dish soap to wash up the cat pee.

I settled him into the crate, put his cat box and bowl of food and water inside, and get my shower and headed to bed finally after 1 AM.
Hard to imagine that for 3 years of hardly seeing this little fella, now I am having human to cat contact, expending much energy into his upkeep, and even getting pee'd on as a result. Nothing like the love for and love of animals.
