For all you cat lovers out there..

Aww how cute. My brothers was 21.

I like cats. My wife does not. Add in my eldest is extremely allergic to cats. So no cats here.
Sometimes one needs to have a cat to realize they actually like them. Easy to take care of. I love animals period.
Say, I am deathly allergic to short haired cats, but not long it seems. So they may be hope there.
Spirit is our life.

With my kid. Long hair. Short hair. Doesn’t seem to matter. He can walk into a house and know in 5 minutes a cat lives there. Worse case… the allergic reaction triggers his asthma. He really has to be careful.

The week I was preparing for heading to Germany for four weeks of work, Boris's health took a turn for the worse. He was twenty years old, and a former feral dumpster diver before being "rescued" by my wife. The mass on his stomach grew, although his early signs of renal problems were of no change. The day before leaving for Germany, I had to put him down. It was really difficult, but I didn't want my wife to turn him into a science experiment to keep him alive a few more days. I'm glad that I went away for a month and didn't have to deal with going home and having his presence missed. It's no easier now, but I had a bit of time away to sort of separate myself from the house.

So sorry.

I have no words. I cannot process the sadness. What a beautiful boy.
Thanks. He was very handsome. When my wife brought him home eighteen years ago, he was at first very miserable. Then he got curious, mischievous, and then decided he wanted to adopt me as the pet human. He was like a lost puppy in a cat suit ever since, and always by my side. My wife said he was always depressed and sulking when I was away for work. He’d brighten right up when he would see me pull into the driveway.
