Here's a short video of me composing the improvised solo for this song on my C1 Hellraiser FR. Here's a really good example of my Neanderthal and uncultured playing style. I really am self conscious about people seeing me play.

My best solos are often composed while still in pajamas...

Robert, I will first say, you have absolutely nothing to be self conscious about in playing for people. You record and play so well. PLus with all your live gigging, you obviously have 1000's of hours in front of people whether it be band mates, crowds, recording engineers etc. You flat out have skills.

I freeze up sometimes playing in front of people on a one on one basis. In the studio, I am a fearless beast and once I am up on a stage, something takes over and I become someone else for 3 hours. But, sitting down with somebody, like when I met Spectre recently, I am nervous and self-conscious and it comes out in my playing...
