Flames on a strat

I’ve never really cared for the flame maple caps on a strat, then all of a sudden I find this beauty. Wow. Just a killer guitar all around.

It was originally a HSS configuration but I already have that covered. So, I ordered the Genuine Fender pickguard and put my best bridgepickup in it. Now she’s perfect. Check our this top.

Beautiful looking instrument, but strats have always been an instrument that I feel comfortable with.
I would love to hear it. :2Thumbs: :strat:

I would love to record a clip but my phone sucks. It’s really hard to capture the live tone. I am running it through three clean amps with just a wah, Univibe, Klon clone, Bad Monkey OD, delay, and an EH Stereo Electric Mistress. I’m doing a lot of early Trower type stuff. I got one of those new Dunlop Hendrix Univibes. It’s maybe the best I’ve used.
Here’s my junky amp corner.

Nice looking rig, and I fully understand the phone issue, as that is my only means of posting clips, but I still do it anyways.
I have tried to cop a Trower vibe (not very good at it but I still tried) and I would still love to hear it.
Most of my clips are a Priest/ Sabbath type of tone, to me anyways.
Cheers

Rat I think you gonna fit in good here......gorgeous strat --- and LOOK AT THE AMPS!!!!!!!
that old GIBSON is killer -- and a PEAVEY ..............and a Marshall......and??? And???
That old Gibson is a 1965 GA77RVT. I got it for $250 in rough shape. Somebody had swapped out the original 15” speaker with a Radio Shack 8 ohm speaker too. There’s a guy who runs a little retail store and repair shop a couple of towns over. He sold me a period correct JBL D130F 16 ohm 15” speaker for $100. It has a really powerful, warm tone.
I love trolling the Facebook marketplace. I’ve gotten some great old gear for cheap. The 1974 SG Standard was $300 because of a headstock repair. The Peavey 6505MH was $100.
