I don't know how accurate it is, but my decibel app on my phone says I'm at 89-90 decibels while playing this little 15 watt. It won't get any higher. This is at 13 feet.

SPL is measured at 1 meter, but usually with a calibrated microphone.
It might be overloading the phone so it maxes out at 90db and won't go any further.

Yeah at 1 meter. Speaker dependent. If sensitivity is 97 dB then at full bore should be around 108 dB but that is at 3 feet. At 6 feet it drops by 6 dB so near 102, at 12 feet it drops by 6 more so should be near 96 dB. Still way more than 90. Hmmm.
