I was back up North last month for some oral surgery and I stayed at my daughters house, her husband is a player and we had a few jam nights. I used one of his amps, a Fender Vibroverb, never played through one before and I'm not a big Fender fan (Though I do won a 1962 Bassman and a 1957 Champ.) The Vibroverb blew me away! Not a fan of 15" speakers is a guitar amp either, but I have to say I was really impressed! Now I need to get one!

*Not my son in laws amp, I should have taken some pics of his*

I'd love to try out an old Fender amp sometime, never gotten a chance to! I'm a Marshall junkie but I have a huge soft spot for any old classic era amplifier, especially the old Fenders, HiWatts, Laneys, Supros, Voxes, Sunns and Oranges. They all have an elegance and beauty to their look and sound, each in their own way

I built for myself a version of a Fender 6G2 Princeton, cathode bias instead of fixed. 6CM6 power tubes instead of the 6v6's, no tremolo. The 6CM6 is a small bottle version of a 6V6. Added a FX loop and a three way NFB switch. It is one fine amp. The overdrive is TITS when the NFB switch is flipped, and the stock clean NFB rivals a Blackface. Covers about the same territory as a 5E3, only tighter without the flub. But the clean is so much better in this over a 5E3. I'll be making a faceplate next month for it.
