First String Change on My Les Paul Traditional...

7s and 8s?? Waaaay too thin. I like to move around on the neck and do use 9 - 42s on some but I do tend to play hard. Can't go any thinner.
I use 10 -46 on the rest other than the odd fat lows sets as I mentioned.

7s? Crazy... like playjng with thread.

7's -- WTF!?!?! I cant even see the damn things to string the guitar ------ Bass callouses are so "padded" -- cant FEEL 7s........or 8's.....heavy 9s START to get there 10's are good as well.
I prefer light bass strings.....really like BENDING the poop outta them :)

That is why I wanted the Hybrid set. 10's, but with a smaller low E...38 is not working though...

I have light strings on the bass. The only thing I use 10s on are the cheesegraters...

Are those the Pyramid "Hendrix" strings? I just bought a few sets and haven't had a chance to change strings on anything yet to try them. A friend of mine has been pushing me to give them a try the past several years. He swears by them.

I have the Hendrix set, but this set is from S.I.T.

I hope the Hendrix set is better...
 
I've been playing with this .038 Low E for a while now and I don't think it's working out.

So...I went to Just Strings and ordered a couple different .040 strings. The place is pretty
cool. I like the idea of ordering individual strings to test out. Should be here by Thursday.
 
So...what my set will be when I get my.040 in is;

Here are the two most common sets;

.009 .010

.032 .036
