Mitch, Maiden Japan (original vinyl version) is one of my top benchmark live albums of all time, together with (in no particular order) Priest's "Unleashed in The East", KISS' "Alive!", AC/DC's "If You Want Blood...", Rush's "All The World's a Stage", Yes' "Yessongs", Deep Purple's "Made In Japan", Motorhead's "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith", ELP's "Welcome Back My Friends...", Uncle Teddy Nugent's "Intensities In Ten Cities", Aerosmith's "Live Bootleg", UFO's "Strangers in The Night", Queen's "Live Killers"... You know what? I feel a whole new thread stemming from this list.. Instead of derailing this one, I'm off to start that new thread!

Absolutely.

Growing up, i didnt have much too great of access to a lot of different bands, other than what you'd see on MTV or hear on the radio. Iron Maiden was a band that strangely enough, never really benefitted from either of those two mediums: radio here NEVER played them and MTV at the time would show Run To The Hills occasionally.

My dads album collection was the other main source of music and I found a lot of great bands thru him but he was never a Maiden fan lol. So, my first real exposure to them came around July of 2000 on an episode of VH1 Rockshow with Cain and it was the debut of "The Wickerman" from Brave New World. Bruce and Adrian had just rejoined and launched a massive tour. I saw it a month later with a buddy and literally ran home, bought every single album up to that time.

Been a devout, fanatic since lol

He technically quit but it was only after he was informed by Rod Smallwood thru Steve Harris that they were going with Bruce Dickinson from seeing him with Samson at the Reading Festival. They already had worked a deal out and it was Rod who broke it to Paul DiAnno so he bailed.

So fired/quit is applicable lol

For me id switch Intensities in 10 Cities with Double Live Gonzo but sure! Lol

The last vinyl I purchased was
Number of the Beast
Screaming for Vengeance
The rest of my music was on cassettes , till I finally switched to cd’s
