First EVH 5150 play test

I’m still figuring out where to put the mic on the 212 Carvin.
This is the 5150iii on the blue channel.
By the way. This amp has gain for days. I don’t even have the gain cranked up and no boost pedal. The gain knob is at 9 o’clock.

Gain on like 3? I had one once and on blue channel I swear I had it on maybe 6 or 7? I could be wrong. Red channel was at maybe 3.
They may have changed it some since then too. Sounds great! I found mine too compressed on lead channel, it lost some bite due to the pick attack smushing some. I likely should have kept it. I played with a 12AY7 in one slot at some point.
That sounds f'ing awesome.

Thats at 9 o clock and not boosted? Jesus that thing has a lot of drive! Very cool friggin amp! I had an original Peavey 5150 120w Head once but it was nothing like this in the gain department.

I am pushing the volume on it. So maybe the speakers are breaking up a bit too.

This thing has an amazing clean channel too. It goes from that Fender style clean to a wicked crunch when you push the drive up to around noon.
The only thing that was going on it is my Hall of Fame through the loop.

I haven’t messed with the red channel too much yet. I was having a too much of a blast with the blue channel.

Once I dial all three channels in. I’ll do a proper video.
