Ive been to Bayou La batre ---actually dated a girl from there when I lived in Mobile Al. -- her mom could cook !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was a transplanted carpet bagging damn yankee at the time-----I was introduced to a WHOLE new world of Etouffe -- jambalaya ---Gumbo--CRAWFISH -- shrimp more ways than Sunday-- PO BOYS and Muffalettas................man -- I miss da Bayou

Shrimp and crawdads! Hell yeah.

We got some mud bugs up here too. Probably not as big as swamp critters though...

You need cold water for good seafood. The best lobstah come from the Gulf of Maine, Bay of Fundy, Labrador coast, and George‘s Bank.

We get rather good Lobsta down in the Keys --- grilled in the shell with butter---- they dont suck for sure ---
