...I know what it feels like to find "The One"! And it's the one I put together from parts.

My days of buying every guitar I see or the newest model being talked about are over!

The Strat I built is just so perfect for me. It's the only guitar I've held that I just don't
Want to put down. I've sold off nearly everything...just a few more to move.

Here she is one more time....

Congrats I know what you mean --- yes I do---I have my Grail--- of course I am still gonna FLIP deals when I can make Profit---but I have found "My" Guitar....I still want all the basses--- including a USA BC Rich.....but as we all know I am a sick puppy .......

Congrats! Looks nice!
I love white strats and maple necksl. Looks like your's has vintage style tuners. If that's the case, I have one too, and it's my number one. The neck fits my hand and is the perfect shape for me. I've changed the pickups, electronics, and tuners (to Fender vintage style).

Having a guitar that you like to pick up and play and want to pick up and play is a great thing...

I searched for years after loosing my two Carvins for a guitar. Then one morning the Ferengi sent me an email about Gibson M2's being blown out on Amazon. I bought a green one. To me, it's just one freak'n awesome playing/sounding guitar. Still want my Junior and/or SG, but this little M2 just hits the spot for me...

Yes, inquiring minds want to know.
Congrats!

I have to tell you...if I set my DiMarzio Stacked Single Coils as high as you have yours in the photo above, I couldn't even set my intonation - the Wolftones were that dramatic. Curious about the pickups you used...

In this photo you can see how far I had to drop the pickups to make the oscillation stop when trying to tune:

Those are vintage 1980's/1990's DiMarzio's (DP404/DP217/DP117) and they could pull a small satellite out of orbit...

So would you say you have found that you prefer single coils to humbuckers, or would you be equally happy with the same guitar in H-H format?

Yes, I prefer single coils over humbuckers. I might at some time consider trying a H-S-S configuration, but never H-H.

I play this one mostly on Neck or Neck/Middle combo and sometimes Middle/Bridge. I want to add the switch in the hole I drilled for the "All Three" mode, but I don't want to tear the guitar down to do it...

I like RVA's question... :yesway:

Lets take this a step further...
Besides the guitar's feel and response, could even the cosmetics or the overall appearance of the guitar make a player more enthusiastic and comfortable with a guitar?

While I love the look of this one, it's definitely the feel and OMG the sound of the Josefina wound pickups. There is a reason people talk about some of these winders
They must just have a special touch...
