Finally took some quick n dirty pics of the new Artist LP. 1979 and a heavy beast at 10.4 lbs.
Interesting to note.
It has a belly cut for those of us with a less than Fabio physique.
It has very cool strap lock pins which of course they stopped doing cause LPs in the 50s didn't have that stuff!
It has the TP6 fine tuner bridge.
Plus it has built in winding cranks which work well!!

The relatively unique Fireburst finish has an almost merlot color in there where it starts to fade lighter.
Apparently it was made from 1979-1981 and less than 500 total were made for all 3 finishes so that makes it a fairly rare piece which I think is cool. Will do a demo of the fun features. Main thing is active EQ Bass n Treble.

The white drop in foreground kinda buggered it up some. It's dusty too!

Fancy switches are :
Treble booster - too much!
Expander - gives notes a push louder as you attack then fades down.
Compressor - like a pedal compressor. Good for sustain t lower volumes.
What's cool is running expander and compressor. Attack is hard and biting then it sustains forever rather than the compressor killing some attack.
Mainly the Active EQ is the selling point, for me.

That is probably the most unique les paul I have ever seen. Features are quite unusual for a les paul and the finish and head stock inlay are amazing. How did you find something like that ?
My new to me classic LP is about as much as could of hoped for. Lol
Congrats!
