Finally Got My KISS 45th Anniversary Package!

Yup.

Ace Frehley, the reason I play guitar.

Those were the days. Mr. Ace sure doesn't get enough credit for inspiring so many youngsters wanting to be guitar players.

Had all the records. I remember forcing my young self to stay up late enough to see them on the Midnight Special, or was it Don K's Rock Concert? Too long ago.

I remember that one! Kirshners Rock Concert and the Midnight Special were the $hit in the 70's. I was 16 in 1976...

Not a huge Kiss fan, but that’s some cool looking stuff!

It was a short, but exciting and undeniable period in my life. When KISS Alive came out EVERYONE loved them.
It continued through Destroyer, but when Love Gun came out we all quit listening. Alive was one of the greatest
live albums to be released at the time and it is fantastic!

Their live show was also a ton of fun!

For the longest time, I would never admit this fact!

I was way too cool to like KIss.

The real truth is I play Gibson Guitars and Marshall amps because Kiss like the best! It said that on the back of their albums.

Now that I'm a little older and more mature, don't give a :poo: what others think. The Spaceman is the reason I play guitar.

I did move on from them, but come on, Detroit Rock City, Black Diamond, I loved it all!

I think I even tape recorded Rock Concert so I could have a Kiss "bootleg", no such thing as VHS back then lol.

I could go on, but suffice to say a "Thank You" to Ace, gave me the gift of a lifetime of music.

I've got way more embarrassing bands than KISS in my past...how about The Partridge Family, The Cowsills and The Monkee's...listened to them all for a minute. Still dig The Monkee's

Yes, I had that album lol.

When I was real young, I bore a resemblance to Danny, lucky me..... not. Lol

If you read the back of the album David Cassady says that his favorite album was BB King live. He actually was my first exposure to the blues! How's that for odd?

I don't care Boyce and Hart were extraordinary writers, I feel no shame.

Well, maybe a little shame, when it came to Laurie Partridge. I crushed hard!

Funny, all these shared experiences all of us have.

YES-- and Gene is why I have owned Both A ripper and now a GRABBER bass by Gibson.....

BEcause --- KISS USE GIBSON GUITARS AND PEARL DRUMS

ANd Im still on a hunt for a proper tobacco burst lester .............WITH FIREBALL !!!!!
My friend growing up was kind of indulged by his parents.

They bought him one of the Rippers, too bad he never learned anything at all about playing it!

If I remember correctly he traded it for weed during high school. I was saving up for a Ibanez L.P. copy, and he practically gave away a REAL Gibson.

That's o.k., when he joined the Marines he lost all that privilege, ended up making quite a good man of himself. Put 20 years in, still, when we get together we talk about wanting to start a Kiss copy band.

He was gonna be Gene, I was gonna be Ace, never got beyond that Ha!

Well, maybe a little shame, when it came to Laurie Partridge. I crushed hard!

Funny, all these shared experiences all of us have.

Oh, I had a crush on Laurie as well!
