Finally came to terms with a tele

Kewl guitar...

Sure do like that amp head tho:love:
The DSL is insanely good...got my tone..mojo..everything back last few weeks....That & VM 2266 are one heck of a pair of amps for gigging..depending on the mood..old school or lil modern

My LR has become a guitar set up & amp shop..lol

decided to get it all over with, think up to 21 guitars & 10 amps. Have the 4th song in Reaper ready for vocals now. Kinda amazing what gets accomplished not glued to a computer.. Almost joined a band 2 weeks ago but can.t do it.. ..have the songs to support a band..just have to have patience . If i ca get my cuz to commit on bass...maybe figure out how to get J thru a set & we can handle the rest maybe. I have lifted all the stipulations off my mind about gear..music...people....internet tension...time to just bring it..

Telecasters sound great through almost any amp...

Telecasters are like truth itself... they expose all your best qualities, as well as all your worst.
...so you have to become a better player in order to live up to one.

Telecasters are so simple, installing a whammy bar on one might be like scrawling a mustache on
the Mona Lisa... ...or not, you choose.

I say this, even though I own a Tele with humbuckers... (I don't care what anyone thinks, my HH Tele
sounds totally unique, and I like it that way).

Players who have trouble getting used to a Telecaster need to get that baby set up properly.
Setup is the key. String gauge: one grade lighter than you think.

Let's hear it for the Fender Telecaster... constantly in production since like 1950.

I have an odd association with Telecasters.

I have played @chilipeppermaniac ’s Tele and I really liked it. It felt good and sounded great.

For some reason, I have never felt inclined to add one to the herd.

I feel like I ~should~ have one; but don’t feel driven to get one.

Weird, huh?
thats me also..sadly due to bad ebay transaction & a certain tele gear site

like looking at my tele sometimes..but mostly to see how it is holding up the SG faded...out of guitar stands & wall hangers...santa kept showing up in the big brown truck..am at a crossroads....just had to finish the vocals on our next song, Snap....i do not sing...but the songs got to get finished backed up 3 now.. and have 2 need to lay rythym tracks to....my studio guy will hire me to play for stuff. for bands.lots of bass work & help with song set ups(crazy bands come in ..no structure-no anything..i sat thru some sessions...wow...)..but i can't just give it all away...its my life..the words..the riffs...never ever played in a cover band been doing it all these years on originals ...we make good money at shows ..but not in it for the money...its the creativitey process..it won't stop & .i cant get a singer in.. promised the wife..what the ---- do i do....thought about a vocal coach..but then i will be doing it all..i mean how fun can be...nobody to feed off of for 3 years now..

I've had a weird relationship with them too. Owned 4 or 5 over the years, and still have not cracked the code...can never get them to sound the way I want.
