Fender USA

The 12th fret markers look too far apart to me for a USA made, and the headstock looks rather odd.

This one makes me nervous, even apart from the serial number.

The headstock decal positioning seems off and the lower horn comes to somewhat of a point, rather than being smoothly rounded.

Tell the guy you’ll give him $75.00 for it because you need a good fake Strat for those times you play in seedy clubs!

FAKE-- CHina copy at best---

RUN -- or offer the proper 150.00 -- minus 10 for the STUPID paint job so 140.00
:)

and offer NOT to report him ---- you might get it for 50.00

This one should read "Fake-O-Caster".

Wrong horns, wrong bridge saddles, wrong decal positions and sizes, wrong pickguard screws (look at the one near the pup switch), wrong screws at the spring cover on the back (they shouldn't be all evenly placed), no truss rod ring or darker wood stripe on the back of the neck, even the overall look is fishy.

No Fender there.

You saved yourself some heartache and a lot of money.

Unfortunately either this guy got scammed or the guy he eventually passes this onto will be scammed.

Just shows that many Fendenese guitars are all over and showing them here may help

Fenders are modular by essence and probably the easiest guitars to counterfeit.

BUT.

The difference between a fake Fender and a real U.S. Fender will often be MUCH worse than, say... you'll find between a Chibson and a Gibson for instance.

Leo always knew what he and Freddie were doing, and they did it well.

It was a nice guitar but the graffiti on it wasn't my cup of tea. I wonder if the seller did that him or herself?
