Client picked this up from a friend of his for free. It was literally covered with stickers, which were already removed when these pics were taken. It took about an hour to remove all the adhesive residue.

This wreck featured a broken switch, wiring twisted/pulled out, inoperative pickups, missing pickguard screws and negative .015" neck relief.

I polished the entire guitar, fretboard and frets, then repaired the wiring. I installed a 0.01uf capacitor to replace the broken .047uf cap, fixed broken wiring at both pickups, installed a new Switchcraft selector, and dressed the nut for .052 x .011 strings, which feel like .009's on this short scale guitar.

All adjustments were made to Fender published specs with the exception of the nut slot profiles.

Neck relief .010"

Nut slots + .004" over string gauge (my own preference. Fender sets slots to exact string gauge measurements)

12th fret action .060"

Pickups 3/32" from strings.

Single coils are pretty noisy and output is a little weak, so I recommended a DiMarzio Vintage Heavy Blues DP409.

The ridiculous and unnecessary string tree was not used. Instead, string winds around the post were used to provide the correct amount of string tension across the nut.
