Fender Discontinues MIM Series

watch the shell with the pea under it----------and oh that rain down your back isnt pee ------

ugh---

True...true...but if they ever announce that they are shipping Fenders from the factory with a wound G string...well...I won't be able to restrain myself.

I'll probably end up going full-tilt fanboi!

I'll just play my MIM Fender Tele Deluxe and let them all go off down the road.
Gibson in trouble, Fender revising its product lines, PRS now making Paul Reed Shoes (joke from
another thread)...

Who knows what will happen next? Who cares?
I have some decent guitars and am not in the market for any more.
Gotta sell some of my collection and travel a bit lighter.

I have a Fender Tele and a Fender Bass, so that makes me a Fender guy.

I have three Gibsons now, so that makes me a Gibson guy. They can go to Helena Sled
for all of me, I have enough.

I have a couple of Epiphones, excellent ones. So that makes me an Epi guy.
I love my Martin and my Mossman, and even my Silvertone Banjo...

Let's face it, I'm a guitar slut. I'd like to see Gibson and Fender keep on keepin' on
...although I also think it would be amusing if Epiphone bought Gibson during the
Bankruptcy proceedings. I don't think Epiphone is bankrupt, so I think they should do
it.

I do enjoy guitars made in the country that I live in. That may however mean that (eventually) I will have to move to Indonesia.

I agree. That would be kind of odd!

But, I don’t think there’s any need. Gibson’s musical instrument business isn’t the problem. The financial analyst types think it’s actually in good shape. It’s all the other peripheral involvements they dumped money into that are hurting them.

But, a purchase by Epiphone might infuse them with some much-needed cash flow!

Oh dear, this is how internet rumors get started!
