Fender Bassbreakers

I don't have one but I have tried a few out from the smallest to one of the larger ones in combo form. I did try out the seven watt head also. These are really good amps. I don't know if Fender is selling a ton of these or not. I feel they sound excellent. I've tried both single wounds and humbuckers through them. I was at GC and tried out a used mint condition Orange Micro Terror mini 8" speaker cab through one of the ( I believe 40 watt combo ) bassbreakers. I wound up getting the cab. I've had a MT for a few years now. The new dark ones are bad ass also. It seemed like it was a darker sounding speaker with great bass and, extremely clean tight tone. Getting back to the Bassbreakers. I'm surprised I don't read more about people raving over these. I'm tempted to check on the Fender forum site to see opinions on these. There are a few bozos on that site which always post nasty annoying posts which raise my blood pressure level. I'm 62 and I'm no longer in junior high school so, I have very little patience for this degree of ignorance. I come on these gear sites to share and learn. Right now they have a mint used seven watt Bassbreaker head they are selling for $250 plus tax. I'm afraid to plug it in because it might rub up against my leg like a puppy dog and I'll have to take it home.

I've been eyeing that same little 7-watt head. Seems like it'd be a fun little amp for lower-volume stuff.

This is almost ..........Marshall ish --------or am I on crack? \

Nope, that was the intent. The original Marshall was a ripoff of the tweed Fender circuit, which was a ripoff of the RCA Receiving Tubes Manual basic amp circuit. In a sense, it's them going back to their roots. Very cool amps.

No you are right. I heard one which sounded a great deal like the first Led Zeppelin record. That however was recorded with some nature of Supro amp. I want to apologize to all you fine folks on here ahead of time for any GAS I may be guilty of instigating. Seriously guys, every time I hear one of these I go "Wow!"

Uhm...er........so its "more marshall than a marshall" in a sense? RCA ---didnt they have the Dog logo --- I miss the dog.......he was cute

This 15 watt one was the one I was just using at GC. I'm highly tempted to jump on the 007. I must be strong an resist. My wallet being empty will supply the strength I require. Don't even make me think about using plastic!

NEVERMIND --- you made the Lil Sexy TOO GOOD Owegi--- I just added the Ol Tube Screamer into the mix and Viola....sounds a HELL OF A LOT like a Bluesbreaker ;) or at least whats coming outta the computer speakers lol

Gass passed-----to Catmandue! ;) you gotta get 007 now International Man of Mystery!!!
